After Taylor Swift wore glitter to the Kansas City Chiefs game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, NYC-based entrepreneur Aliett Buttelman has been experiencing the “Taylor Swift Effect.”

The faux-fleck makeup trend took a shine to when Swift made the whole country sparkle, sporting glitter spots — and fans are obsessed with the $16 makeup from tiny beauty brand Fazit.

Buttelman, one of the brand’s founders, posted about the shock of the singer wearing its product on TikTok, writing, “POV you’re a female small business founder and @Taylor Swift is wearing your brand’s glitter freckles @ Phase” in the caption. a video of her crying on the news. “I’m dying.”

“I was completely shocked – I literally cried!” Aliett Buttelman told the Daily Mail, saying it was “such an exciting moment to see the hard work of the last two years validated by someone who has defined our generation”.

Buttelman shared that she’s now experiencing high demand in sales after Swift debuted the spots during Monday Night Football.

“Ever since Taylor wore the Gold Stardust patches, the response has been nothing short of incredible,” Buttelman said. “In the last 15 hours alone, sales and website traffic have increased by 2,500%.

Although Swifties noticed the shiny patches even before the “Cruel Summer” singer wore them, seeing them as the perfect accessory for The Eras Tour.

“Even before Taylor Swift wore our patches, we saw a huge increase in sales, especially during the Eras tour in Europe and as people prepared for her North American leg,” Buttelman said.

Fazit Beauty launched on April 30, 2024, with Stardust Speckle Makeup Items designed to be “long-lasting, sweat-resistant and waterproof, making them perfect for everything from festivals to gaming of football”.

Buttelman explained in a TikTok that in May, shortly after the launch, it was her “sole mission” to get the glitter spots on Swift’s hands, and “the manifestation became real.”

She had contacted her makeup artist’s agency and sent her the patches because she could imagine them being “all over the Eras tour.”

“Guys, the manifestation is literally real,” she said.

Now, Buttelman and the rest of the team at Fazit are “working overtime to keep up with demand and make sure everyone can get their parts in time for future Era shows.”

The final leg of Swift’s Eras tour kicks off in October. 18 in Miami, Florida.
